Soltilo Bright Stars FC will face Kiyinda Boys FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16; this has been confirmed.
The Stars won their first home match of the competition in the draw, which was held at the FUFA Complex in Mengo and broadcast live on FUFA TV. The team’s first two games had been away matches. Going into this match, the team will be hoping to win and move on to the tournament’s quarterfinals.
The match will be played at Kavumba, but the exact date has not yet been determined. FUFA (Federation of Ugandan Football Association) has provided a tentative window from March 11 to March 17.
Looking at the opposition, Kiyinda Boys entered this round having defeated Kigezi Home Boys 2-1 in the previous round and Gadaffi FC 1-0 in the Round of 64, whereas Soltilo Bright Stars needed penalties to determine their fate against Mbale Heroes after thrashing Nakapelimen FC 8-0 in the Round of 64.
Since this will be the first competitive meeting between these two teams, the game will be very difficult because neither team is familiar with the other’s playing strategy. For a victory to be recorded, the players and technical team will need to be completely focused.
